Amazon Machine Image (AMI) is a Linux image that is supported and maintained by AWS. Each AMI is a pre-configured template that packages the required bits for a virtual server, including the operating system and any necessary additional software. The recommended Scuba AMI instance is a specialized configuration of CPU, memory, storage, and networking capacity, that you can modify as needed.
